Orion (Ryan Adams) - Fire and Ice
I just received the new Ryan Adams record Orion in the mail today. Recorded in 2006, it’s a metal sci-fi concept album.
Released only on clear vinyl (with digital download), it was limited to a few thousand copies, and sold out in a day at Ryan’s website.
Here’s a track from the album titled “Fire and Ice”.
this is my favorite track on the record…the bridge/outro is killer.
wha? how did i miss this happening??
The batman was a unit of mass used in the Ottoman Empire and Central Asia. It has also been recorded as a unit of area in Uyghur-speaking regions of Central Asia.
The batman was used in Central Asia up until at least the 18th century. In Khiva in 1740, there were said to be two batmans: the “great batman” of 18 Russian pounds (approx. 7.4 kg) and the “lesser batman” of 9¼ Russian pounds (approx. 3.8 kg).
